RWE npower
csrnetwork was requested by RWE npower (npower) to undertake a benchmarking assessment of its 2006 corporate responsibility performance reporting. This Benchmark & Comparative Analysis Report provides feedback on npower's strengths and areas for improvement in its accountability practices based on the application of the new, 2006 Accountability Rating® criteria, jointly produced by csrnetwork and AccountAbility. The Report details npower's performance in the six domains making up the Accountability Rating® which review how far non-financial issues are reflected in npower's governance structures, core business strategy, management systems, public reports and assurance processes, and the depth and breadth of the company's stakeholder engagement. The report also provides recommendations for materiality of stakeholder concerns, business strategy and assurance.
csrnetwork was also asked by RWE npower to undertake a review of stakeholders' expectations and concerns regarding key corporate responsibility issues. This work was used to inform a review of the RWE npower's strategy and approach to material issues and management priorities. This review involved research on external stakeholder expectations, including interviews with stakeholder representatives of groups including regulators, NGOs, business customers, trade associations and organisations involved with local communities.
