Henkel
csrnetwork was commissioned by Henkel to assist the company evaluate the status of its Sustainability Reporting and Processes. This work involved csrnetwork checking Henkel's processes for reporting, dialogue and auditing against emerging good practice, with strong reference to the AA1000 framework.
The first phase of work was externally focused and framed around our unique Accountability Rating® to benchmark Henkel against the largest companies in the world (Fortune's G100 – the 100 largest companies by revenue). The rating has been developed in partnership with AccountAbility and the 2005 results for the G-100 was published in Fortune magazine in September 2005.
We also assessed the coverage of issues offered by a sample of relevant consumer products and manufacturing companies in the G100, to determine whether, from an international and external perspective, Henkel is reporting on all key aspects of Henkel's sustainability performance.
The second phase of work was built upon the findings of the external research, and was based on interviews with Henkel senior managers to refine our advice for Henkel. These interviews were focussed upon specific issues, which were not determined through the external work.
