Danisco
csrnetwork acted as independent assurance providers on Danisco's sustainability reports in 2003 and in 2005. This involved extensive interviews with senior managers to review corporate structure, sustainability, safety, health and environmental objectives, governance arrangements and social and environmental management systems.
In addition, we interviewed employees who provided data for the report and carried out visits to the company's sites in Europe, Mexico and China to check specific data and claims.
The process was conducted with reference to the AA1000 Assurance Standard.
As part of the independent assurance process, we have made recommendations to Danisco on the development of the company's approach to stakeholder engagement, and have suggested how a more systematic approach could be designed and implemented.
We have also provided advice to Danisco to help it develop its approach to stakeholder engagement, and to strengthen its governance arrangements for sustainability.
