Scottish Power
csrnetwork has acted as independent report assurance provider to Scottish Power since 2003.
In 2007, we worked with the company to assure its new web-based corporate responsibility report. Emphasis was placed on the 12 priority issue areas identified by Scottish Power.
We checked the claims made in the report, and also reviewed Scottish Power's arrangements for managing sustainability issues. This involved interviews with senior managers, site visits and a detailed review of figures in the report and the company's data collation systems.
We conducted the assurance process in accordance with the AA1000 Assurance Standard, and commented on the extent to which the report fulfilled the three key principles of materiality, completeness and responsiveness.
